About You

• Background: We're seeking candidates with a strong focus on functional nutrition, exploring the connections between nutrition and health. Relevant qualifications in functional medicine, naturopathic medicine, or nutrition are a plus. Alternatively, candidates with equivalent experience in wellness and functional medicine will also be considered.
• Skills: The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in scientific literacy and be able to effectively communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
• Individual strength, collective goal: We are looking for someone who can bring their unique strengths and perspectives to the table, while working towards shared goals that drive collective success. The role favors teamwork and adaptability over a solo, perfection-focused work style.
• Start-up mindset: You will be comfortable in an environment with rapid change and ambiguity from new intersections and rapid feedback loops. The need to continually compound and apply a body of knowledge means the ability to consistently deliver within a startup context - 1% better every day, continually re-evaluating “right answers” - will be expected.
• Remote working: We're offering a unique position based in Taipei, Taiwan, with the flexibility for remote work from the United States. As a remote team member, you'll collaborate closely with our Taipei office using digital tools to ensure seamless integration and productivity. This role allows you to work within U.S. time zones, contributing to our global operations and enjoying a dynamic, inclusive work environment.

A Day in Your Life as a Health Science Researcher:

• Your days as a Health Science Researcher will be dynamic and varied, reflecting the multifaceted nature of our work. You'll spend your time:
• Engaging in in-depth solution seeking efforts, exploring diverse resources to gain insights into health topics from both functional and medical science perspectives.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and software engineering, to align strategies and goals.
• Synthesizing evidence from scientific literature and insights from Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in functional health to draw conclusions on specific health issues.
• Participating in open-minded discussions on health issues, fostering diverse viewpoints while discerning between dogma and evidence-based approaches.
• Contributing to solution development with fellow science team members, innovating solutions for chronic diseases and leveraging collective expertise to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.
