What We Do

At Domain Money, we are on a mission to build a next-generation financial planning service for mass affluent consumers. We provide flat-fee financial planning memberships that gives clients clarity about the right ‘actionable steps’ to take to help them achieve their goals. Utilizing our unique technology platform and working directly with a dedicated CFP® professional, clients get a personalized financial plan and ongoing support.

The Role

You MUST be a Certified Financial Planner.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Advisor Training & Development Manager to lead the professional development and performance of our CFP® professionals team.

This critical role will own the onboarding of new planners, design and deliver continuous training to elevate the team's skills, and manage team performance. Your primary goal is to ensure our CFPs are equipped to provide the highest level of holistic advice and effectively convert prospective clients during consultations.

You are the ideal candidate if you are a passionate coach, a structured program builder, and a leader who can motivate a team of financial experts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Onboarding: Develop, manage, and execute a comprehensive onboarding program for all new CFP® professionals, ensuring they are proficient in our service model, compliance standards, and unique technology platform.
  • Continuous Training: Design and deliver an ongoing training curriculum focused on:
  • Domain Money Planning Tenants: The planning philosophies that underpin the how Domain Money’s CFP® professionals deliver advice across all of our financial planning subject areas, including budgeting and cash flow, investments, retirement, tax planning, education planning, estate planning, and insurance management.
  • Technical & Platform Skills: How to leverage our technology to build highly personalized and actionable financial plans.
  • Process & Operations: Best practices for working within the financial planning team and helping clients get the most out of their membership
  • Performance Management:
  • Establish, monitor, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for the CFP® professionals team, focusing on client satisfaction, planning quality, and consultation conversion rates.
  • Provide regular, direct coaching and feedback through methods like call/meeting reviews and 1-on-1 sessions.
  • Conduct formal performance reviews and create development plans to foster career growth.
  • Content & Playbook Development: Create and maintain a library of training materials, sales scripts, best-practice guides, and standardized workflows to ensure consistency and quality across the team.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with leadership, compliance, product, and operations to identify training needs and ensure the CFP® team is aligned with company goals.

Requirements

  • CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) designation is required
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning or wealth management.
  • 3+ years of experience in a training, sales enablement, or management role, preferably leading client-facing financial advisors.
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering effective training programs that drive business results.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and performance-manage a team of high-performing professionals.
  • Deep understanding of holistic financial planning concepts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, agile, or startup environment is a plus.
