We’re seeking a Cafe Supervisor to help lead daily operations and support our team and management. This role is hands-on: you’ll be on the floor with the team while also guiding the flow of service, handling guest needs, and keeping the café and market organized and efficient. The supervisor is a key part of setting the tone for each shift — ensuring things run smoothly, guests feel looked after, and the team has the support they need. The Cafe Supervisor works directly with the General Manager to ensure operational excellence. Previous restaurant experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create an energetic, coffee-forward environment that excites both the team and guests

  • Support and model personnel policies, labor laws, and safety procedures

  • Ensure all security and operational procedures are executed (safe handling, opening/closing protocols, etc.)

  • Execute seamless transitions between opening, mid, and closing shifts

  • Deliver warm, genuine guest experiences and resolve guest concerns with care

  • Manage the line efficiently and lead by example, especially in coffee preparation and café operations

  • Uphold standards for product quality, with a special focus on coffee excellence

  • Jump in and work the line as needed, particularly in coffee and beverage service

  • Maintain all food safety, cleanliness, and organizational practices

  • Count cash drawers and complete accurate daily cash handling procedures

  • Help train new team members and reinforce best practices.

  • Monitor product quality, inventory levels, and presentation standards.

  • Assist with retail setup, restocking, inventory, and merchandising to keep displays inviting and well-stocked

Qualifications/Skills:
  • General barista knowledge including but not limited to semi-automatic espresso machine operation, dialing in espresso, general knowledge of coffee drinks & builds
  • Great communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with guests and peers

  • Able to stay calm and problem-solve in a busy environment.

  • Reliable, organized, and attentive to detail.

  • Flexible availability, including weekends.

  • A natural leader who is a strong team player and can coach, inspire, and train others

  • Excellent multi-tasking and attention to detail

  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)

  • Able to lift 50 lbs

Education and/or Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years barista experience

  • Minimum of 2 years professional leadership experience in a cafe, retail, or restaurant setting.
