Position: Omakase Sushi Server
Location: Saishin at Gansevoort Meatpacking, New York, NY

About Us:
Gansevoort Meatpacking is home to a refined omakase dining experience, where precision, hospitality, and artistry come together. We are seeking experienced, polished Servers with a strong understanding of omakase service and Japanese dining culture to join our team.

Position Summary:
As an Omakase Sushi Server, you will deliver an intimate, highly attentive dining experience, guiding guests through a curated, multi-course tasting led by our sushi chefs. This role requires deep product knowledge, anticipation of guest needs, and the ability to execute service with precision and discretion.

Schedule Requirements:

• Availability for evenings, weekends, and late-night shifts is required
• Flexible availability based on business needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide elevated, personalized service in an omakase setting
• Guide guests through the tasting menu, including ingredients, preparation, and sourcing
• Maintain strong knowledge of sushi, seafood, sake, and Japanese culinary traditions
• Coordinate closely with sushi chefs to ensure seamless pacing of courses
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly with professionalism
• Uphold Gansevoort Core Values and luxury service standards at all times

Qualifications:

• Prior omakase or high-end sushi service experience is required
• Strong knowledge of sushi, sake, and Japanese dining etiquette
• Excellent communication and guest engagement skills
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
• Professional appearance and polished demeanor
• NYC Food Handler’s Certificate is a plus
