The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all kitchen and back-of-house areas while supporting the culinary team in delivering exceptional luxury dining experiences. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and workspaces are maintained according to health, safety, and Forbes Five-Star hospitality standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, including floors, walls, workstations, and equipment
  • Operate dishwashing equipment and ensure all dishes, cookware, glassware, and utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
  • Properly organize and store kitchen equipment and supplies
  • Assist with receiving deliveries, inventory rotation, and storage organization
  • Support culinary team members by maintaining clean and service-ready kitchen environments throughout shifts
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures
  • Report maintenance issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns promptly
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects and additional back-of-house responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • Previous stewarding, dishwashing, or kitchen experience preferred but not required
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
