TenGoku Aburiya is seeking a professional, detail-oriented, and hospitality-driven Back Server to support our front-of-house team in delivering an elevated dining experience. This position plays a critical role in maintaining seamless service flow, supporting captains and servers, and ensuring guests receive attentive and polished hospitality throughout their experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist servers and captains throughout service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room and service stations
• Reset and prepare tables efficiently and accurately
• Deliver food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
• Refill water, clear plates, and anticipate guest needs during service
• Support beverage service including tea, wine, sake, and cocktail service
• Polish glassware, flatware, and plates before, during, and after service
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams
• Assist with opening and closing side work duties
• Uphold TenGoku Aburiya’s service standards and guest experience expectations

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
• High-end casual dining or Japanese restaurant experience is a plus
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Professional appearance and communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
