Seeking Barista/Pastry assistant.

Patisserie Tomoko is looking for a warm, detail-oriented, and hardworking team member to join our pastry shop and café. We are a Japanese-French patisserie known for delicate desserts, seasonal pastries, and thoughtful hospitality.

This position combines barista service, customer interaction, Whole sale order and pastry support in a fast-paced but welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso drinks, tea, and café beverages
• Provide friendly and attentive customer service
• Assist with pastry plating, packaging, and display setup
• Support daily pastry kitchen production and organization
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
• Help with opening/closing duties and restocking

Qualifications

• Barista or café experience preferred
• Interest in pastry, desserts, and hospitality
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Positive attitude and teamwork
• Weekend availability preferred

Working Conditions

The applicant must be able to work at least 30 hours Tuesday through Sunday. Have basic culinary skills in preparation of ingredients. Ability to communicate in English on a conversational level to understand instructions from other staff members. As the work is done in an open kitchen setting, as well as interacting with customers, the applicant must be able to interact with the customers in a pleasant and friendly manner. Neat and tidy appearance are also a must.
