Job Description

L'industrie Pizzeria is seeking a reliable and hardworking Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. This is a role responsible for keeping the kitchen, dining areas, and entire store clean and running smoothly. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to working collaboratively in a high-energy, intense environment. Pay is $18–20/hour and will vary based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment quickly and thoroughly.
• Keep all work stations clean, stocked, and organized throughout service.
• Assist with basic food prep as needed.
• Keep the bathroom clean and stocked throughout the shift.
• Clean and close the entire store at the end of the night.
• Move supplies and equipment, including frequent trips up and down stairs.
• Follow all food safety guidelines and kitchen protocols.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff and communicate effectively to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Take feedback and direction from supervisors and teammates with a positive attitude and a willingness to improve.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a dishwasher, porter, or in a similar role is preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and move them safely.
• Ability to go up and down stairs constantly throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Comfortable taking constructive criticism and using it for personal and professional growth.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong work ethic and a commitment to keeping a clean, organized workplace.
