A high growth, premium consumer brand is seeking a Director of Finance to join its leadership team.

The company has quickly established itself as a category leader within the specialty food space, known for its commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and brand excellence. With strong national distribution and continued expansion, the organization is focused on scaling operations while maintaining the integrity and standards that define the brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and mentor a lean but capable AP/AR and general accounting staff, providing structure, direction, and accountability
• Own the month-end close process with the goal of closing by the 15th of each month, ensuring accuracy and alignment with reporting timelines (e.g., SPINS)
• Oversee accounting for trade spend, marketing fees, UNFI/KeHE programs, and coupon treatment to ensure compliance and accurate reporting
• Manage and optimize NetSuite and other accounting systems to improve visibility, reporting speed, and integration with operations
• Serve as the key liaison for auditors, ensuring timely preparation of audit schedules and compliance with GAAP
• Partner closely with Operations, Logistics, and Finance to ensure accounting supports business needs, particularly around production, supply chain, and trade promotion.
• Step in where needed, from troubleshooting AP/AR bottlenecks to refining reporting models, while also building the team’s capacity for independence

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years of related progressive experience in Accounting or related field; or a 4-year college degree with an Accounting/Finance concentration and a minimum of 6 years of related progressive experience.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits; must possess CPA certification.
