Assistant Cook – Japanese Yakitori / Kitchen Prep

We are looking for an Assistant Cook to join our kitchen team. Previous experience in Asian cuisine, Japanese cuisine, izakaya-style restaurants, yakitori, or grill/barbecue cooking is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities include preparing and cooking Japanese yakitori, assisting with daily prep, helping with ordering and inventory, receiving and storing ingredients, and supporting daily kitchen maintenance to keep the kitchen clean, organized, and efficient.

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook Japanese yakitori and other kitchen items
• Assist with daily food prep and ingredient preparation
• Help with ordering, inventory, and receiving deliveries
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards
• Support daily kitchen maintenance and closing duties

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Asian or Japanese cuisine is a plus
• Yakitori, izakaya, grill, or barbecue experience is helpful
• Basic knife and prep skills preferred
• Reliable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
