Steingold’s Bakehouse is hiring an Overnight Baker / Cook to join our growing production team.

We’re looking for someone with at least one year of professional kitchen experience. Bakery experience is a plus, but not required—we’re happy to train the right person who’s reliable, detail-oriented, and excited to learn. You will learn how to boil, bake and seed our bagels.

This position is based out of Steingold’s Bakehouse, our dedicated production facility where we make Chicago’s best bagels, challah, and both classic and innovative pastries. Our bakehouse supports our popular Lakeview delis as well as a fast-growing roster of wholesale clients, with additional restaurant projects underway.

What We Offer

• $20-22/hour, based on experience

Schedule

• Overnight shift, typically 11pm/12am - 6am/7am

• Weekend availability is required - MUST BE AVAILABLE SATURDAY & SUNDAY

Requirements

• Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

• Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment

• Basic math skills

• Responsible, dependable, and punctual
