We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate has experience preparing high-quality sushi and Japanese cuisine, maintains excellent food safety standards, and thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare sushi rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and other Japanese dishes with precision and consistency
  • Ensure freshness and quality of all ingredients
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Manage food preparation and kitchen inventory
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
  • Create visually appealing presentations for all dishes
  • Monitor portion control and minimize food waste
  • Assist with menu development and seasonal specials when needed
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Cook
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and presentation
  • Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
