Job Details
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate has experience preparing high-quality sushi and Japanese cuisine, maintains excellent food safety standards, and thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare sushi rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and other Japanese dishes with precision and consistency
- Ensure freshness and quality of all ingredients
- Maintain clean and organized workstations in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Manage food preparation and kitchen inventory
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Create visually appealing presentations for all dishes
- Monitor portion control and minimize food waste
- Assist with menu development and seasonal specials when needed
- Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Cook
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Excellent attention to detail and presentation
