The Role
Working closely with the General Manager and Front of House leadership team, the Barback supports the bar program by assisting with preparation, stocking, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This role is essential to ensuring bartenders can execute service efficiently while contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare bar ingredients and batch items using standardized recipes to support all service shifts
- Stock and maintain the bar with all necessary products according to established pars
- Ensure all glassware, bar tools, and equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and ready for service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation while upholding sanitation standards
- Assist bartenders with beverage production and service as needed
- Maintain proper pour standards and support consistency across all beverages
- Follow established steps of service to support a high-quality guest experience
- Provide food and beverage support in accordance with restaurant standards
- Verify identification for alcohol service when required and in accordance with company standards
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency to support smooth and efficient service
- Maintain awareness of menu offerings, including beverage and allergy information
- Uphold all food safety and sanitation standards
- Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing duties thoroughly and efficiently
- Passionate about hospitality and interested in learning the bar program
- Strong work ethic with the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Detail-oriented with a focus on cleanliness, organization, and consistency
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset across FOH and BOH teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement
- Proactive and attentive to the needs of both guests and team members
- Flexible, reliable, and maintains a professional appearance at all times
- Maintain all required health and sanitation certifications

Physical Requirements
- Stand and move continuously for extended periods behind and around the bar
- Frequently lift and carry kegs, cases, glass racks, and bar supplies (up to 50 pounds)
- Safely handle glassware, bar tools, and cleaning equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
