Social Media Content Creator (Part-Time)

Shiraz Kitchen & Wine Bar | Chelsea, NYC

Shiraz Kitchen is a Persian-Mediterranean restaurant with locations in Chelsea (NYC) and White Plains (NY). Our White Plains kitchen has held the MICHELIN Bib Gourmand and earned a New York Times "Very Good" rating; both locations carry the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. The food comes from one source: the unwritten Tehran recipes of our chef-owner's mother. The hospitality philosophy we operate under is called Define Hospitality.

We are looking for a Social Media Content Creator who can carry that brand voice on Instagram, TikTok, and the platforms that come next. This is on-site, hands-on work, not strategy from a distance. You will be in the dining room during service, in the kitchen during prep, on the floor with our guests, and at our private events.

The Role
  • $600/week, flat
  • 20-25 hours per week
  • Based at our Chelsea location (111 W 17th St); occasional travel to White Plains for shoot days
  • Reports directly to the Chef-Owner
What You'll Do
  • Shoot, edit, and publish native vertical content (Reels, TikToks, Stories) on iPhone
  • Plan and execute a weekly content calendar across both locations
  • Write captions in our voice. Restrained, specific. No emoji clutter or template language.
  • Cover dinner service one to two nights per week for behind-the-line content
  • Capture private events, wine dinners, chef's table, and seasonal menu launches
  • Manage engagement: comments, DMs, and review responses
  • Track performance and adjust based on what is actually working
What We're Looking For
  • 3 years minimum in restaurant or hospitality social media, or demonstrable work that makes the requirement irrelevant
  • Daily user of Instagram and TikTok with a real understanding of how each platform works in 2026
  • Strong eye in available restaurant light; clean editing in CapCut or similar
  • Captions that sound like a person, not a brand
  • On-site for evening service at least one weekday per week, plus event nights
  • Fast. You take direction the first time and don't need three rounds of feedback to land a post.
Bonus
  • Influencer and creator outreach experience
  • Basic graphic design (Canva, Adobe)
  • Photo or video background
