Job Details
- Support the day‑to‑day operation of the Culinary Department, ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and service
- Partner with the Executive Chef on menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal offerings
- Lead and execute high‑end catering and ad hoc culinary events, including large‑scale production
- Assist with cost controls, inventory management, and responsible purchasing practices
- Supervise, train, and support hourly culinary team members, fostering a positive and inclusive kitchen culture
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company standards
- Contribute to the rollout of new culinary programs in collaboration with marketing and corporate culinary teams
- Participate in client satisfaction initiatives and continuously look for ways to enhance the guest experience
- Culinary training (A.S. degree or equivalent professional experience)
- Progressive experience in culinary or kitchen leadership roles
- Experience supporting catering operations; high‑volume or complex foodservice environments strongly preferred
- Exposure to institutional or batch cooking environments is helpful
- Strong understanding of current food and catering trends, with attention to quality, production, and presentation
- Working knowledge of food cost controls, ordering, and inventory practices
- Comfort using technology and standard office tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and email
- Willingness to engage in client feedback and satisfaction programs
- ServSafe certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
