Server — Dear Jane’s

At Dear Jane’s, we are seeking Servers who bring a genuine passion for hospitality, food, and beverage, paired with professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong sense of service. Our Servers play a key role in creating a memorable dining experience by delivering knowledgeable, warm, and attentive service from start to finish.

This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and take pride in anticipating guest needs while maintaining high standards of service and presentation.

What You’ll Do

Guest Experience & Service

  • Provide attentive, knowledgeable, and personalized service to each guest

  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently

  • Guide guests through the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations and upselling when appropriate

  • Execute proper steps of service, including food delivery, beverage service, and table maintenance

  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to ensure a seamless dining experience

  • Maintain composure and professionalism in all guest interactions

Menu & Beverage Knowledge

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the food menu, including seasonal changes

  • Demonstrate working knowledge of wines by the glass and basic pairing principles

  • Understand house cocktails, including ingredients and flavor profiles

  • Clearly communicate daily specials and key menu highlights

Operations & Teamwork

  • Complete assigned side work and maintain a clean, organized station

  • Use the POS system (Toast) accurately and efficiently

  • Collaborate with support staff to ensure smooth service flow

  • Assist teammates and other sections as needed

  • Handle glassware, china, and equipment with care to minimize breakage

Communication

  • Maintain clear and professional communication with managers and team members

  • Report any service issues or guest concerns promptly

  • Deliver information to guests confidently, thoughtfully, and at the appropriate time

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role or hospitality environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Solid foundational knowledge of food, wine, and spirits

  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure while maintaining attention to detail

  • Professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards

  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive and proactive attitude

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $17.81 + tips
