The Herb Lyceum offers fine dining amidst the gardens and grounds of the Gilson Family Homestead. Located in scenic and historic Groton, Massachusetts, this enchanting farm comprises four acres of fragrant herb gardens, greenhouses, and flowering trees. Our country site provides a cozy setting filled with rustic charm for special events ranging from weddings & celebrations, special dinners for the public, and other private events between 50 to 150 guests.
We are a primarily outdoor venue and operate out of a large greenhouse and a brand new catering trailer with air conditioning. The kitchen team consists of the Chef de Cuisine and two cooks. Minor dishwashing responsibility is shared, as most dishes are rented.
During the Summer and Fall we have access to produce and herbs from the on-site farm. We strongly believe in education in all parts of our work, and want employment with us to be as rewarding and enriching as possible.
Experience:
- 2+ years Professional Kitchen (required)
- Catering (helpful but not required)
Job Type:
- Seasonal (May-October)
- Full-time (30-40 hours/week)
Compensation:
- $25 / hour
Schedule:
- May - October
- Every Wednesday-Sunday, typically 5 to 9 hours per shift.
