Quince & Co is seeking a strategic, hands-on Human Resources Director to lead all HR functions across our portfolio of restaurants and hospitality concepts. This role partners closely with Ownership and Executive Leadership to align people strategy with business objectives while cultivating a culture of excellence, accountability, and thoughtful hospitality.
The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of California employment law, strong operational instincts, and experience supporting high-performance teams within restaurant or hospitality environments.
Position SummaryThe Human Resources Director oversees employee relations, workforce planning, compensation and benefits, compliance, talent development, safety programs, and leadership training. This role ensures the organization’s people strategy supports both growth and operational excellence across multiple concepts.
Key Responsibilities-
Lead HR operations across all Quince & Co concepts.

Develop and implement HR policies, systems, and training programs aligned with business needs and compliance requirements.

Oversee compensation, benefits administration, performance management, and employee development initiatives.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (with strong emphasis on California labor law).

Manage employee relations matters with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.

Promote employee engagement initiatives that support morale and retention.

Maintain HRIS systems, reporting, and data analysis to inform strategic decision-making.

Drive leadership training and professional development programs for managers and department heads.

Strong leadership presence with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Sound judgment in handling confidential and sensitive matters

Deep understanding of employment law and HR best practices

Highly organized with exceptional time management

Strategic thinker with operational follow-through

Proficiency in HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office, and talent management systems

Spanish language skills preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (Master’s preferred)

Minimum 5 years of progressive HR management experience

Restaurant or hospitality experience strongly preferred

SHRM, PHR, or comparable HR certification a plus
