We are looking for an experienced Lead event Chefs/ Kitchen Assistants to join our off premise Event team at Purslane. We host events and private parties at Multiple Events Around NYC. We are a growing team and Currently Looking For Team Members that are Neat, efficient, organized, has an eye for detail, works well with others And Most Important "has Sense Of Urgency".
Compensation Details(Based On Experience And Kitchen Trial)
Hourly ($35-$45) Lead Event Chefs
Hourly ($25-35) Kitchen

Requirements:
- Able to work in a Neat and efficient manner in a high-pressure environment
- Experience on multiple stations in the kitchen (HDS/Canapes /Proofers/ Grill)
- Ensuring that food portions/Temperatures and food presentation meets Events standards
- Knife skills and proficiency in all aspects of cooking(Sauces/ Proteins/ Techniques in General)
- Help Culinary Leads With Any Need(Full Hands On)
- Hold Food Knowledge about the items we will serve.
- Maintains a clean/Organized work Stations, Kitchen Equipment, Includes Fridges Freezers given by culinary team.
- Making Sure All Purslane Equipment Gets Back to the kitchen.
- Helping Unloading deliveries. BOH AND FOH.(NO EXCEPTIONS)
- English Language is a Must, Spanish and French is a plus.
- Maintain compliance with DOH, safety, and sanitation standards.(Must Have Food handler permit)
Qualifications Skills
- Professional work Ethics/ Commitment
- 2-3 years of related Banquets or Catering Events
- Attention to detail with dishes while ensuring quality and vision of The Chefs
- Communication skills and ability to Listen to orders
- Open Schedule
- Able to work independently/ Problem Solver
- Working As a team Is a must (no room for Attitude)
- MUST BE ABLE to meet physical demands including extended periods of standing and walking throughout the day; able to lift and carry 50+ pounds, push/ pull up to 75+ pounds.(NO EXCEPTIONS)
- Restaurant Foundation is a Must.(For Prep Cooks/ a plus for Event Staff)
