The team behind VENETO Ristorante Italian, an award-winning fine dining restaurant, is opening an exciting new restaurant called Via Veneto Pizzarium, an authentic Italian quick service restaurant offering a variety of traditional rectangular cut pizzas called pizza al taglio and other quality authentic Italian street foods — to stay or grab and go.
Pizza al Taglio is a semi-thick, light, and crispy crust pizza baked in large, rectangular pans, sold in slices by weight (priced per 100g). The name, al Taglio, translates to “by the cut,” which refers to the way the pizza is sold. Pizzas are topped all the way to the edge, served with a huge variety of cheeses and toppings added before and after baking. Pizza al Taglio originates in Rome, where it’s a popular street food found on every corner.
Via Veneto offers other unique Italian street food specialties such as lingue di pizza, semifreddo, Italian sodas and waters. Only the highest quality ingredients are used, specifically 00 Italian flour, making it possible for even those who are gluten intolerant to indulge.
