The Role

As a Cashier, you are the face of Hello Shawarma. You will be the first person our guests see, setting the tone for their entire experience. We need someone who can handle a fast-paced rush with a smile, guide customers through our menu, and keep the service running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet every guest with a warm welcome. Answer questions about the menu, ingredients, and portions to help customers make the best choices.
• Order Management: Accurately enter orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system (in-person and phone orders).
• Cash Handling: Process payments (cash, credit, and gift cards) accurately and responsibly.
• Delivery Coordination: Manage incoming orders from delivery tablets (UberEats, DoorDash, GrubHub) and ensure they are packed correctly for drivers.
• Quality Control: Double-check takeout bags to ensure all sauces, sides, and napkins are included before handing them over.

Requirements

• Previous cashier or restaurant experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right attitude!
• Strong communication skills and a friendly personality.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for handling cash.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and have reliable transportation to Niles.
• Availability to work [evenings/weekends/lunch shifts].
