About Eklektikon Collective:
Eklektikon Collective is a collaborative wine distribution among regionally focused and leading portfolios with organic, biodynamic, and natural wines, including the regions of: Greece (Eklektikon), Eastern Europe (Danch & Granger), Italy (Maritime Republic), and Georgia (Argo Selections). Eklektikon Collective is committed to bringing to NYC wines made by artisan growers from emerging but ancient winemaking regions.
About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing Wine Ambassador to join our team! This role is all about being a social butterfly and engaging with decision makers in the hospitality industry, sharing information about our exciting producers, gauging their interest and needs, and ultimately arranging meetings with our wine specialists.
In other words, we are looking for the face of our company, someone who will be in touch with most key accounts, warming up cold leads and checking in on everyone's needs. This is not a traditional sales role, but rather a relationship management one where you will use your people skills, energy, and enthusiasm to drive appointments and ensure a smooth and efficient interaction with the company overall.
Key Responsibilities:
● Engage with key buyers in a friendly, approachable way
● Promote and explain our portfolios and our ethos
● Encourage decision makers to meet and discuss with our wine specialists
● Represent the Eklektikon Collective brand with professionalism and warmth
● Track in-person visits, tastings and communication, and provide feedback to the rest of the team
● Help create a positive, and welcoming image for the company
Qualifications:
● Outgoing, energetic, and comfortable initiating conversations with strangers
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
● Enthusiastic about (natural) wine and restaurant / bar hopping
● Reliable and punctual
● Previous customer service, sales, or promotional experience is a plus
● Must be available to work 3 - 5 days a week, and primarily 2pm - 6pm
● Wine knowledge is a big plus
