Created by acclaimed Peruvian chef Gastón Acurio, La Mar is a celebration of the traditional Peruvian cebichería, set within a casual yet upscale atmosphere designed to take its diners on a delicious exploration of the flavors of Peru.
La Mar focuses on delivering fresh seafood direct from the sea that exemplifies authentic Peruvian flavors. The La Mar menu consists of classic Peruvian dishes such as cebiches (citrus-based marinated raw fish), tiraditos (thinly sliced seafood), and causas (potato-based dishes). It also features grilled anticuchos, which are skewers of marinated meat meant to pay homage to Peruvian street food. La Mar’s menus always feature fresh, local ingredients and incorporate a wide variety of seafood that the country of Peru traditionally offers.

An ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years hospitality management experience or office management/HR coordinator experience
- Great organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Stable work history
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
The Office Administrator is a critical role within the restaurant and works very closely with both the General Manager and Executive Chef. The position requires a great deal of organization, communication, flexibility and a positive, hard-working mentality.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Process all paperwork for new hires and separations.
- Create and maintain employee files.
- Coordinate employee enrollment in health insurance program.
- Submit pre-employment background checks as directed by the General Manager.
- Respond to all written requests for employment verification.
- Respond to unemployment claims.
- Coordinate garnishment claims with outside payroll service.
- Maintain OHSA log of on-the-job injuries.
- Submit reportable claims for on-the-job injuries to workers' comp carrier.
- Support the General Manager and Executive Chef in completing annual employee performance appraisals.
- Perform daily reconciliation of cash and credit card receipts against daily POS sales reports.
- Log vendor invoices and submit to CFO.
- Maintain work schedule files for all departments.
- Work with department managers in preparation of labor reports for payroll submission.
- Provide general administrative support to GM, Exec Chef, and Events team.
- Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Other duties assigned as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
