Line Cook Job Details: Line Cooks take pride in every plate, making sure they are picture perfect. Always ensuring the freshest products are being used to prepare our dishes. Line is maintained clean, organized and stocked throughout the shift. Demonstrates not just pride in every dish made, but also understands the company’s cost and insures proper recipe adherence. Always follows proper health code requirements, food rotation, labeling and sanitation practices.
Requirements | Qualifications: - Restaurant cooking experience is preferred - Able to follow written recipes and order tickets - Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress - Outstanding communication and leadership skills - Current knowledge of culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes - Understanding health standards of cooking and cooling - Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures - Accuracy and speed in executing tasks - Familiar with industry’s best practices - Ability to work on your feet for 8 or more hours a day - Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment - Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills - Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds at a time on a regular basis
