About Us:
GITANO was born in Tulum in 2013 and has grown into a global hospitality-lifestyle brand in Tulum, Miami Beach, and NYC. We have just opened CASA GITANO, a luxury 50-room hotel on the beach in South Tulum, and we are opening our first international location this year, GITANO DUBAI.
Grupo Gitano is looking to build a corporate and experienced management team that can help with the brand's global expansion, starting in NYC.
GITANO ISLAND NYC, is a seasonal, luxury restaurant and beach club set on a 30,000-square-foot waterfront property, with sweeping NYC skyline views, on Governors Island. We are located just 5 minutes by ferry from the beautiful Battery Maritime building in downtown NYC which also houses Casa Cipriani. GITANO ISLAND embodies the essence of our Tulum tropical paradise in the heart of New York City. We seek an exceptional General Manager to lead our team and deliver unparalleled experiences for our guests.
Job Summary:
As the General Manager, you will oversee all restaurant and beach club operations, from setup to management, marketing, sales, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the hospitality industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering world-class service.
Responsibilities:
- Set up the restaurant to open on May 1st, 2024
- Hire, lead, and manage a full team to ensure seamless operations
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive sales growth and maximize profitability
- Maintain exceptional customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality food, beverage, and service standards
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and the local community
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a General Manager in a high-end restaurant or hospitality establishment
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and increasing profitability
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with New York City hospitality industry regulations and standards
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field
