Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Report to Executive Chef
  • Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment
  • Assist with testing and developing seasonal dessert menus and baking program
  • Assist with custom-made desserts and pastries for special occasions
  • Ensure food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking
  • Operate in and maintain the pastry section of the kitchen and creating a successful working environment within the kitchen
  • Manage that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managed
  • Ensure the kitchen and production areas are clean and maintained at highest safety standards


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as pastry cook, baker or relevant role
  • Has experience working in hotel environment
  • A passion for hospitality, baking, and the guest experience
  • Ability to read and follow recipes and standards
  • Strong organizational & creative problem-solving skills
  • The ability to comfortably lead a team in a busy atmosphere
  • Creative & Team oriented
  • Fine Dining experience a plus
