We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing management team as we expand our Hospitality Group! This role will support business operations for our West Village Location, to ensure streamlined success and drive excellent hospitality experiences. We know that it all starts with having the right people to lead the charge. We are searching for an autonomous go-getter with strong management and business development skills as well and technical and administrative back office skills and experience.

Qualification Requirements:

  • At least 2 to 5 years General Manager level experience in NYC restaurants.
  • A genuine interest and passion in seasonally-driven menu items with excellent service standards.
  • An energetic and positive attitude with the ability to lead and inspire.
  • The ability to manage a team of dining room and bar staff with an emphasis on strong communication skills, organization, attention to detail, sanitation, facilities management.
  • Must be collaborative and align and support the kitchen Team.
  • Qualified candidates must have their NYC food handlers certificate

Job Description:

Financial Responsibilities:

    • Develops and executes sales and profit plans in line with budgetary goals
    • Ensures, and is accountable for, profitability of the restaurant by growing sales and controlling cost of
    • Maintains and utilizes daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
    • Ensures proper team member coverage per the needs of business while maintaining target labor
    • Oversees all cash management functions; maintains proper loss prevention standards, including reviewing cash handling procedures, deposits, and safe procedures.
    • Reviews daily time punches for accuracy; address time clock abuse (clocking in early or late) via coaching and/or
    • Oversees payroll processing weekly; provides final review and approval to all payroll
    • Oversees ordering, GL management and/or inventory for certain supply
    • Assists in setting pricing and menu
    Operations:
    • Opens or closes; completes opening or closing checklist, as
    • Manages hourly employees in their daily responsibilities, providing clear, effective
    • Prepares staff
    • Able to perform all POS functions, including opening and closing procedures, comps, voids and transfers, back-office administration (employee creation, menu management, etc.)
    • Plans, executes, and communicates all promotions and employee change information effectively and
    • Conducts DOH walk-throughs multiple times per day when on duty to ensure DOH compliance; addresses all DOH violations immediately.
    • Promotes and practices safe work habits, identifies and resolves potential safety hazards; Documents accidents, conducts initial investigation and determination of root cause of safety incidents in the interest of maintaining a safe work environment.
    • Ensures that all team members are educated on our products and
    • Ensures that all Company drink and food recipes and procedures are followed, maintaining the highest quality and consistent product standards.
    • Approves any maintenance or repairs needed
    Staff Management:
    • Hires, trains, supervises, manages, coaches, counsels, and evaluates hourly
    • Acts as role model for outstanding service; continuously works to elevate service standards, and personally embodies hospitality in daily actions.
    • Consistently monitors, coaches, and encourages management team and hourly service employees to meet Company’s service
    • Resolves team member or customer conflicts through Loring Place compliant handling
    • Makes postings for open positions and interview
    • Identifies staffing, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training needs of qualified candidates; Facilitates on- going training and development of current staff; Coaches and counsels team members for improved performance, documenting developmental plans as necessary.
    • Ensures that all team members are educated on Company products and
    • Builds morale and team spirit by fostering a work environment where team members’ input is
    • Creates and delivers periodic and effective performance
    Essential Functions:
    • Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics which inspire team members to meet and exceed
    • Polished personal presentation; grooming meets Loring Place standards, as outlined by Employee
    • Communicates information effectively and
    • Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the
    • Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job
    • Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintains professionalism when working under
    • Maintains general knowledge of location, transportation, management team,
    • Ability to utilize traditional software programs such as Gmail, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), and any additional systems as needed; Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer systems

Compensation: Salary ($90,000.00 - $100,000.00)
