Bartenders are responsible for ensuring that all aspects
of the guest’s experience are performed at the necessary level.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Responsible for greeting guests at the bar and guiding them through the ordering process.
• Be able to input all beverage and food orders in the POS correctly.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of the restaurant’s menu, including a detailed understanding of the menu structure and pricing, ingredients, origins, suppliers, seasonality, flavor and texture, allergy restrictions, preparation methods and limitations, presentation, history, and culture of food and dishes. You have a strong understanding of the flow of the kitchen.
• Have an advanced and developing knowledge of wine and appropriate glassware.
• Be highly knowledgeable about wine and can guide guests through all the by-the-glass options to provide the best wine-with-food experience.
• Drive liquor sales and need intimate knowledge of the bar programs.
• Be passionate about the spirits we serve and able to talk confidently about spirits and cocktails to our guests.
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of classic cocktails, NA options, and beer styles.
• Assist in preparation of cocktail ingredients and ensure bars are properly stocked for service
• Maintain bar top maintenance, including water levels, clearing plates, and glassware.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
• Must be of legal age under TN State regulations to serve alcohol (18 years) and have a valid TN ABC certificate.
• Desire to provide exceptional service to every guest.
• Depth of knowledge of all beverages, including but not limited to basic knowledge of spirit categories,
wine, classic cocktails, and beer.
• Desire to continue learning and to teach.
• Available to work weekends, nights, and holidays as business dictates.
• Food safety knowledge.
• Organization, cleanliness, & time-management skills.
• Reliable, organized, efficient, courteous, professional, & a team player.
• Heightened sense of awareness & great attention to detail.
• Strong sense of teamwork & seeks to drive results through collaboration.
• Provide an excellent guest experience that builds long-term customer relationships.
• Previous fine dining restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
• A willingness to learn.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
The employee must regularly sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to provide and follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($8.00) plus tips
