Luna Cafe, a small breakfast and lunch cafe in the Fishtown / Kensington neighborhood is looking for a FOH manager. Luna has a cozy atmosphere, dedication to quality ingredients, and focus on breakfast and lunch offerings, including delicious brunch options.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to join our team. As the Front of House Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our small breakfast and lunch cafe, providing exceptional service to our valued customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Train and mentor front of house staff to deliver excellent customer service and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Manage customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints, striving to resolve issues promptly and to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of house area, including dining areas, restrooms, and customer service stations.
  • Monitor inventory levels of front of house supplies, such as utensils, napkins, and condiments, and place orders as needed.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient communication and smooth flow of orders from kitchen to table.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations to create a safe and welcoming environment for both customers and staff.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a cafe or restaurant setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and resolving customer issues effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and willingness to uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
