Sodexo is looking for an energetic and passionate culinarian to head up a region supporting our culinary teams and driving culinary innovation and direction for the midwest. Below is a detailed outline of what the ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering on. There will be 70% travel that will require overnights, driving and flights to support the business in scope.

Operational Support

  • Provide support and direction to culinary teams on Segment Strategy and Deployment of Brands for new business openings and client site refreshes
  • Work collaboratively with East Culinary Director and supply chain for vendor/sourcing/product specifications
  • Ensure product compliance at the unit level to help drive backend profitability
  • Making sure the business and brands are meeting targets in the field as well as compliance to the brand through onsite audits
  • Proactively address gaps in experience, quality or key performance metrics based on results. With the ability to transform key data into clear business cases and action points; ability to summarize results with a focus on business implications and decisions.
  • Holding monthly touch points with the chefs in the region with reports out on “what’s working and what isn’t” as it relates to the brand. Key Drivers being participation, guest satisfaction, menu standards and overall profitability
  • Oversee Talent Development of Chefs in the field

Sales and Retention:

  • Utilize brand standards and strategy to sell and retain new business
  • Driving SalesTasting processes centered on Food, Hospitality and Innovation
  • Drive Innovation in order to bring to life the client’s vision of Food and Hospitality services at their site

Innovation

  • Drive the company’s success with Food & Beverage strategies, standards and priorities that are transformed into new initiatives, concepts, and work streams.
  • Continually advance and evolve the guest experience through product innovation, leveraging industry trends such as delivery solutions, customization, new platforms, health and wellness, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with the Culinary Support Team on Concept Developments and New Recipe Creation for the field
  • being an advocate for new ways of thinking and doing business outside of the norm
