L'abeille is a 54 seat French “Bistronomy” Restaurant in the heart of lower Manhattan in Tribeca headed by Chef Mitsunobu Nagae, who has extensive experiences in haute cuisine at multiple Michelin-Starred restaurants in Tokyo (L'Osier, Chateau Restaurant Joel Robuchon), Paris (Ledoyen), and New York (L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon, Shun). His vision for the Restaurant is to provide the kind of food one would be served at great restaurants in France - highest quality food served in a friendly, non-formal environment is the core concept of our dining experience.
We are seeking strong candidates with love and passion for French cuisine to be a member of our team as Pastry sous chef
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in a previous culinary supervisory or management experience within a high-volume kitchen setting is essential
- A degree from internationally recognized culinary institution preferred
- Highly developed knowledge of various culinary styles and mastery of all line level cooking stations
- Detail orientated & motivated to be proactive in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent verbal, written, communication, and leadership skills
- Food handling certificate
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for a method of service, production, and cooking to ensure all items are prepared to meet deadlines and standards
- Properly execute plated dishes with varying components to standards set by Executive Chef
- Complete all closing requirements as directed by Executive Chef
- Taste and review products daily to ensure quality and consistency with preparation and presentation
- Assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining new recipes, presentations and

Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($70,000.00 - $75,000.00)
