Job Details
Lost Society DC Restaurant & Lounge on 14th & U St NW is currently seeking an energetic, highly motivated restaurant Assistant General Manager to join our team. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for supporting the daily business operations under the General Managers supervision, ensuring that the team delivers the required tasks with the highest quality and standards as set by Lost Society. The ideal candidate will possess experience in the restaurant industry coupled with strong nightlife knowledge. This individual will manage the staff and operations of the restaurant.


THE ROLE:
- Assist in overall management of daily restaurant operations, collaborate with other managers on shift as well as hourly employees.
- Lead the scheduling for FOH employees (server, bartender, host, and cocktail waitress).
- Maintain high standards of customer service & tend to customer requests/ complaints in a timely and appropraite manner.
- Take responsibility & help manage food & beverage inventory, orders and menu development.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation & portion control.
- Provide ongoing training for existing staff & reinforce Lost Society standards.
- Communicate regularly with upper management/partners to execute accurate nightly reports
- Display floor presence during service and assist guests with wine selection as neede
- Execute ordering of supplied/product for the FOH team as needed
- Understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests

QUALIFICATIONS:
- ABRA License valid in Washington, DC
- Minimum 2 years managing high volume restaurants in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication & leadership skills
- Experience training & developing staff of all levels
- Previous experience assisting & running beverage programs
- Previous experience in scheduling and managing labor cost
- Passion for continuously improving food & beverage knowledge
