POSITION SUMMARY

The Busser position is a critical part of our team. Their role will be crucial in delivering the best possible experience for our guests!

Overview:

Bussers support the service staff and the kitchen in all aspects of service. They need to be able to anticipate Server, Bartender and guest needs while maintaining the order/cleanliness of the space. They need to be observant to the floor, help to set stations and assist with its function/cleanliness all night. Some light furniture movement is needed to adjust floor plans during service, as necessary. Ability to lift 30lbs required.

  • Pick up any rogue napkins or trash that you see on the floor when walking around the space
  • Be available to assist where needed
  • Know basic service and preparation protocol so that you can pull serviceware, brew coffee, prep candles, and assist with last minute details

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Be an ambassador of a style of hospitality, food & beverage, and dining culture that evokes genuine warmth, knowledge, and gracious service.
  • Need to have a comfortable and intimate knowledge of the functionality of all set-up, break-down and proper storage of our equipment and furniture
  • Know the building layout extensively as well as memorize the key contacts in other departments so that you can assist with cross functions and efficient movement between spaces. Be efficient. Minimize the amount of empty trips through the dining room: e.g. if delivering a course to one side of the room, bring used glasses or bus tubs from the bar and/or front of the room to the sani station.
  • Organization & Restocking: Keep the sani-station organized and as clean as possible. Place glassware in glass racks and dishes in bus tubs - take to the dish area when necessary. Continue throughout the shift to check in with bar needs in terms of glassware.
  • Maintain the space: (Over)communicate with Management if there is any issue apparent upon dropping or clearing a course. Assist with all elements of bussing, clearing and resetting. Ensure that you understand all service passageways and where all serviceware, glassware, and necessary items are kept.
  • Communication: Always communicate with other floor staff and jump in where needed.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly (Based on Experience) plus tips
