Job Details
We are looking for a Maitre'D to join the growing team at In Tune Hospitality. This role will be for our newest property, the popular cocktail lounge Keys & Heels - located on the Upper East Side.
Keys & Heels is an ambient cocktail lounge hidden behind the frontage of a rundown NY shoe repair shop. It is currently open Wednesdays to Saturday evening to the public, and other days for private events. Wednesday & Thursday we are open 6pm-1am, and Friday & Saturday 6pm-2am, and your hours would be 5:45pm - midnight. We are currently looking for someone for 3 nights a week.
Your role will be to greet people at the door, to check in guests, and navigate walk ins. We are looking for someone warm and friendly, that can maintain a positive and safe environment and enforce a dress code, while still being well mannered, courteous, and warm.
As a Maitre'D, you will be accompanied by our door person, who will help you manage busy periods and the clientele. Your job is to welcome and manage the seating and flow of the room along side your manager, you are not security. We are looking for an upbeat team player with strong people skills that has a balance of kind but strong presence, a calm demeanor, and quick thinking.
You will work closely with ownership and our General Manager to maintain the energy in the space.
The responsibilities include:
- Creating a welcoming first and last impression!
- Greeting guests in a cheerful, warm and engaging way.
- Managing your reservations and seating them efficiently.
- Monitoring the room and making sure the flow is steady and comfortable.
- Kindly letting people know when we are too full, they have missed their reservation, or do not meet the dress code. The goal is maintain a great vibe in the room and not make anyone feel rejected or slighted.
- Keeping an eye on your tables to monitor when guests are finishing up and when tables are freeing up.
- Keeping an eye on upcoming reservations to make sure you will have a table free, and communicating with the staff to keep tables moving.

Pay rate: $22-25 per hour.
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($22.00 - $25.00)
