Barista (Bilingual)

We are looking for a Barista for our new 26th Street Cafe to prepare and serve hot/cold coffee beverages and food. Their responsibilities include educating our customers on our drink and food menu. They should make recommendations based on preferences, up-sell items and take orders in a professional and friendly manner. They should have knowledge of how brewing equipment operates and be able to handle food according to the HACCP guidelines and standards for quality food-services operations. Shift times and days will vary.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Greeting customers and answering any questions they might have about the menu or establishment.
• Having a deep understanding of the ingredients used and how our food and drinks are prepared.
• Taking orders and entering them correctly in the POS device.
• Following the recipes on how our food and drinks are prepared and serving the ordered items.
• Receive and process payments ( cash and credit card)
• Maintain Bar area Stocked and clean during and after shift
• Check if the brewing and cooking equipment operates properly and report any maintenance that is needed.
• Comply with health and safety regulations by following HACCP standards
• Communicating Customer feedback to managers
• Performing other assigned duties

Requirements and skills

• Previous work experience as a barista or server.
• Hands-on experience with brewing and cooking equipment.
• Must have knowledge of sanitation regulations
• Must have food handlers and allergens certification
• Must be able to work various shifts
• Basic math skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Languages English & Spanish (Preferred)
