\nDelaware North's Patina Restaurant Group is hiring a full-time or part-time Grill Cook to join our team at Nick and Stef's Steakhouse in Los Angeles, California.
\nPay
\n\nMinimum pay rate: $25.00 / hour

Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Prepares food to specifications before and during unit operations. \n
- Properly measures and portions all food items. \n
- Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures. \n
- Cooks all food to proper specifications in a timely manner. \n
- Utilizes kitchen equipment to prepare food items such as: knives, slicers, whips, pots, pans, warmers, steamers, grills, ovens, etc. \n
- Ensures proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly. \n
- Ensures freshness and quality of all menu items. \n
- Packages all products to proper specifications. \n
- Performs opening, closing and side work duties as instructed and according proper guidelines. \n
- Keeps workstation, coolers and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked. \n
- Follows and upholds all health codes and sanitation regulations. \n
- Sets up and operates kitchen equipment. \n
- Uses waste control guidelines and records all waste on spoilage sheet. \n
- Performs other duties assigned. \n
Qualifications
\n- \n
- At least one years' experience as a Prep Cook or Line Cook. \n
- At least one year of Grill or Broiler experience \n
- At least one year of Steakhouse experience \n
- Ability to read and understand recipes and food abbreviations. \n
- Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders. \n
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. \n
- Attentive and detailed oriented. \n
- Capable of following procedures and taking directions. \n
- Basic math skills; ability to understand, calculate and follow recipe measurements and proportions. \n
Physical Requirements
\n- \n
- Manual dexterity sufficient to chop, mix, blend, whip etc. a variety of foods and liquids. \n
- Ability to lift and carry large pans, weighing up to 70 lbs. \n
- Ability to handle or operate dangerous kitchen equipment. \n
- Standing and walking for entire length of shift. \n
- Frequently required to reach up to 6-7 feet, twist at waist, bending and squatting. \n
- Pushing and pulling occasionally, to move equipment, mops, and brooms. \n
- Kitchen environment – noise levels may be moderate-to-high. \n
- Works frequently in a hot and damp environment. \n
