Job Details
LittleMad is seeking a serious and dedicated server to join our team and who wants to grow with us as a restaurant group! Servers work side by side with the whole team, including front of house and back of house, in delivering memorable experiences to our guests. Teamwork and great communication skills are very important. Thinking on your feet, prioritizing your tasks, and seeing the bigger picture are how we all become stronger together. Please be flexible with your schedule.
All servers work as a server assistant first before moving into the server role.
At LittleMad, Chef Sol Han welcomes you to his unique take on new American cuisine which is rooted in French techniques and intertwined with his culture as a Korean American.
Chef Sol was the Executive Sous Chef at the Michelin-starred Le CouCou, a fine-dining French Restaurant and has also worked alongside Chef Michael White at Ai Fiori and became the Sous Chef at the age of 25.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Learning the menu (including the ingredients and allergies).
- Welcoming guests and confidently explaining the menu and restaurant concept to our guests
- Take orders accurately and timely
- Upsell specials and supplements to the guests while making sure we are keeping the guest experience the main focus. We are not pushy.
- Be able to discuss the beverage menu in detail
- Clearing/bussing dirty plates, cutlery, and glassware from tables as required.
- Marking the tables with appropriate cutlery for the upcoming courses.
- Preparing tables for arriving guests by wiping up spills, clearing away crumbs, replacing soiled linen, and setting up tableware and napkins.
- Delivering food to tables and spieling the food to the guest.
- Responding to guests' requests and informing management of any complaints.
- Take guest notes
- Ensuring that the service stations are adequately stocked with necessary restaurant supplies.
- Work and communicate with your server assistant to ensure a smooth service.
- Completing any side duties (ex. polishing glassware & cutlery, preparing plate wipes, etc.) as assigned at the beginning/end of shift.
