Solazo is looking to add an agave aficionado, experienced, charismatic Head bartender to our FOH team. The ideal candidate is someone who will be team-oriented, who want to be with us long-term, with a desire to provide an unforgetable hospitality experience. The ideal candidate is someone who understands the Agave program, supports the culture and has a take the lead approach to further develop the bar program.
Requirements
- Motivated, innovative and experienced
- Excellent knowledge of Bar service, well disciplined organization manner, special attention to detail regarding organization and service.
- 2+ years of bartender experience
- Flexible availability evenings and weekends
- Bilingual, Spanish required
- Good knowldege of Mexican cuisine and agave spirits or interest in learning more of.
Essential Duties & Responsibilties
- Bartend 3-4 shifts per week
- Abilty to work under pressure with grace and ease
- Passion for excellence, superior service standards, and a positive attitude with a team player mindset
- Love for exceptional food, modern drink and exquisite style
- Abilty to follow direction and stay cosistent with procedures ans tasks
- Stay in the know of food and beverage menus and descriptors
- Keeping up to-date with agave spirit knowldedge
- Maintain a polished posture.
- Partcipate in seasonal R&D sessions
- Assist with placing all bar orders
- Setting up tastings and trainings
- Assist updating the agave bible
- Keeping up to date with the Bar book
- Weekly and Monthly inventory
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid servsafe certifications; basset, food handlers, allergens
- Willingness to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work environment
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with Toast, 7 shifts, Slack is preferred
Physical demands and work enviorment
- Ability to be flexible and open-minded about job demands
- Ability to move or handle equipment throughout the restaurant (generally between 0-50 lbs.)
- Must be able to stand, walk, move during entire shift including frequent bending and stooping
