We are looking for enthusiastic, hard working people to join our dining room teams! A Busser is responsible for anticipating the needs of restaurant guests and team members, and providing them with everything they will need for a complete experience. You should be a team player, possess great communication skills, and have a desire to go above and beyond.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Has basic proficiency of the English language and can communicate effectively
- Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
- Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
- Offer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the LINE’s standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness
- Demonstrate understanding and knowledge of the sequence of service, following this sequence for every guest.
- Possess knowledge of the POS system to correctly and strategically coordinate with team members
- Clear, mark, and take ownership of table maintenance and wipe and resets tables
- Assist coworkers in any task necessary to ensure a great environment for guests and coworkers
- Execute any additional employee duties requested by management
- Possess expert knowledge of all food and beverage aspects of the restaurant
- Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the hotel
- Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested
- Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions
- Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements
Knowledge, Requirements and Skills
- Physical stamina, proper mental attitude and the ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and the required organizational and time management skills needed to work under pressure, ensure efficiency and meet deadlines
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to handle a large volume of guest interactions in an efficient and courteous manner;
- Work well under pressure, requires being a team player
Working Conditions/Environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- The person having this responsibility may have to lift up to 30lbs on a daily basis
- The person having this position may have to sit for one (1) hour, stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day
