La Josie, a family-owned Bib Gourmand Mexican restaurant on Randolph Row, has been serving family recipes and supporting the best agave distillers from all regions of Mexico since May of 2017. In just a few short years, La Josie has become a beloved destination to eat, drink, and socialize in the West Loop. Most importantly, however, La Josie is a family of hard-working, middle class restaurant veterans passionate about treating their guests like family and this establishment like home.

We are looking for a hard-working and dedicated team member to join our support team. The right
candidate will be hospitality focused, ambitious and able to take direction. The ideal candidate must have the ability to anticipate needs before they're called. You’ll be a cornerstone in making sure service runs smoothly so our guests can enjoy an unforgettable dining experience.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience working in a fast-paced upscale restaurant
  • A passion for food and beverage
  • Positive, upbeat attitude and the desire to provide excellent hospitality
  • The ability to multi-task while demonstrating grace under pressure
  • Focus and direction to thrive in a detail-orientated environment
  • Bilingual/Spanish

Responsibilities & Essential Duties:

  • Setting up & breaking down the room for service
  • Stocking glass and tableware
  • Assist with food running and take out orders packaging
  • Resetting tables
  • Opening and closing side-work duties

Qualifications:

  • Food handlers and allergen certifications
  • High energy
  • Team oriented
  • Open availability

Physical Demands and Work Enviorment

  • Ability to be flexible and open-minded about job demands
  • Ability to move or handle equipment throughout the restaurant (generally between 0-50 lbs.)
  • Ability to work varied schedules, as business dictates
  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours a day
