Job Details
The Cat and Fiddle is looking for a Chef. We are a 40 year old restaurant with a built in clientele as well as staff that have worked for us on average for 10-30 years. Small restaurant with a friendly crew of 20 people. Schedule is Wednesday-Monday (Tuesdays and Wednesdays off).

Duties:
  • Scheduling for BOH staff for about 10-15 people
  • Counting weekly as well as monthly inventory
  • Placing orders - we manage around 3-5 kitchen purveyors
  • cooking on the line and managing cooks and making sure items are prepped

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of kitchen manager or executive chef experience in a similar concept
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant industry operations, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Strong communication skills with ability to motivate employees and obtain positive results
  • Be able to cost items
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, results-oriented, and customer-focused
  • The ability to work with a high degree of independence
  • Catering experience
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours If there is an event
  • Management ServSafe Certification (preferred)
