Fausto, a neighborhood restaurant and wine destination on Flatbush Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn is seeking a junior Sous Chef. Its market-driven menu showcases elevated but approachable food with a focus on locality and seasonality. The ideal candidate must be passionate, goal-oriented and value-driven. They will work with the kitchen team to ensure that this elevated approach to food and hospitality is brought to life.
The ideal candidate is someone ready to move into a management role. The job responsibilities will be working line shifts as well as helping the entire management team run prep and nightly services. This role will have room for advancement in the management team, including daily administrative tasks and menu development. Please respond with a resume and reference.
Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 4 Years Experience (Preferably Casual/Fine Dining)
- Ability to Multitask in High Pressure Situations
- A positive attitude towards your work and your team
- Performing opening and closing duties as our standards require: setting up and closing down station
- Prepping items for the station for daily service and also for the weekly prep schedule
- Have the ability to lift 50 pounds
- Have the ability to stand for over 6 hours
- Carrying out other job-related tasks as outlined by the management
- Provide the highest level quality to all menu items
