Summary

The Event Sales Manager is responsible for sales, administration and execution of all Great Jones Distilling Co private events. This candidate must possess experience in sales, hospitality and event operations, reporting and be detail-oriented.

Drives event sales and customer satisfaction ensuring consistent, high level service throughout the pre-event, event and post-event phases of property events. This position primarily handles complex events. Ensures a seamless turnover to the F&B team. Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events.

Responsibilities

· Primary focus is on selling, planning and executing successful events

· Demonstrates ability to exceed sales goals in a fast-paced, and dynamic event sales position

· Responsible for all private event sales within TripleSeat, including leads, events, BEOs, payments

· Pursue and secure new events business for Great Jones Distillery through event listing placements, outreach, networking and client relationships

· Develops relationships within the community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities

· Oversees smooth operation and coordination during private events ensuring the day-to-day consistency and quality of experience at every customer touch point

· Lead all day-to-day coordination of private events, including public events as needed.

· Work with clients to develop F&B menu selections, event run of show, and all relevant event logistics and operations

· Work with the F&B team leading up to event and on day of event, ensuring all F&B needs are met for the event, including proper staffing, event setup and teardown, F&B service, and more

· On-site contact for client during all events

· Conduct client site visits, and create room and space layouts as needed for in-person events.

· Works with Senior Marketing & Sales Manager to review service standards and maintain facilities

· Inventory management of event CGS

· Accurate reporting of performance of the private event operations including an overview to the Senior Marketing & Sales Manager on a monthly basis regarding on-going operational staffing, revenue, expenses, performance and variances to the budget

· Create and manage event production schedules and run-of-shows

· Reviews billing and payments with clients

Skills/Requirements

· Proven background in sales, event production or management

· Ideal candidate brings existing relationships with partner organizations, clients, and lead sources that can be a source of new business

· Proven administrative skills in Hospitality, and Inventory/POS systems

· BA Degree in Hospitality or similar preferred

· Requires 3 to 5 years of experience in sales/marketing, planning events

· Outstanding integrity, communication, interpersonal skills, and dependability required

· Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines while working on numerous on-going projects simultaneously

· Excellent negotiation skills in order to create win-win solutions.

· Microsoft Office expertise required

· Must be able to work flexible hours including permanent weekend shifts and evenings/holidays as required

· Demonstrates self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm.
