Olmsted is seeking a career-minded Captain who is highly motivated and passionate about hospitality.

Candidate prerequisites:

• Proficiency in steps of service
• High level of interest in wine & spirits (Sommelier experience ++)
• Experience with non-verbal communication
• Creative and self-motivated problem solver
• Strong desire to be relied upon

Our approach is informed by the world renowned restaurants from which Chef Greg Baxtrom and our team have learned, but is casual and approachable.

Olmsted was a James Beard Awards Finalist for Best New Restaurant in 2017. The owners started the NYC Hospitality Coalition, a food bank for those impacted by COVID-19, and the Black Entrepreneur Series pop-up in the space of Maison Yaki (our sister restaurant) this year. Additionally, our kitchen team prepares hundreds of meals a day for World Central Kitchen.
