Very busy, High-Volume restaurant in the Upper West Side, Playa Betty’s, seeks a KM who has
experience running a kitchen in a high-volume restaurant. The ideal volume of restaurant experience
would be north of $7.5 million. An excellent Kitchen Manager would have excelled in several diverse
areas and possess a certain skill set.
 Strong foundation of culinary knowledge
 Leadership and Conflict resolution skills
 Systems driven and Goal oriented
 Financial understanding of Food Cost, Labor Cost, Inventory & Labor management
 Attention to details

The kitchen manager is responsible for a variety of duties and managerial tasks.
 Financial accountability, Food Cost & Labor Cost
 Managing daily inventory, creating, and placing all food orders
 Managing food production, adhering to quality standards
 Streamline systems, maintain BOH standards
 Scheduling of BOH team members
 Expediting

An Experienced KM for Playa Betty’s would possess the following experience & requirements
 College AOS degree or above
 8+ years of hospitality related experience
 5+ years of kitchen management or supervisory experience.
 2+ years High-Volume restaurant experience with annual sales in excess of $6 million
 NYC Food Handlers Certificate or ServSafe certificate
 Proficient using computers, excel spreadsheets
