One Michelin starred Marlena is currently seeking an enthusiastic and passionate General Manager to join our team. Founded by husband-and-wife Chef team David and Serena Fisher, Marlena is a hospitality first environment, creating a safe and fun work environment for all, while never sacrificing on the quality of the product served.
A General Manager for our team is a motivated, consistent, organized and open-minded individual who has a passion for seasonal product and is excited by a frequently changing menu. Marlena continuously strives to build a team that thrives in a professional atmosphere, grounded in positive reinforcement and constructive feedback in order to help reach the goals of the restaurant as well as each individual’s career pursuits. Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to a team of individuals, including the education and development of all team members
- Managing Front of House employees, including scheduling, training, developing skill sets, supporting, and disciplining
- Managing the floor for dinner service to ensure maximum efficiency, including touching tables, supporting the door, running food
- Opening and closing the restaurant, involving reconciling closing banks and daily recap e-mails to the entire Operations team
- On the fly problem solving
- Developing company culture
