Solutions Architect
Capitalize
About Us
Capitalize is a mission-driven company solving critical problems in the $20 trillion retirement savings market with delightful products, scalable technology, and a world-class team.
At our core, we’re modernizing the $1 trillion in retirement account transfers (401(k) rollovers) that happen annually and currently involve manual, paper-based processes. By doing so, we’re helping the almost 20 million Americans who change jobs each year with a 401(k) do the right thing with their assets rather than lose them to fees and taxes.
Our Enterprise offering includes a full suite of enterprise-grade APIs used by leading financial institutions to help their users find and transfer retirement accounts as part of their core funding flows. Our Consumer offering helps individuals digitally locate forgotten 401(k)s and consolidate them into one of our brand-name financial partners.
We’ve raised $35mm from leading venture capital investors including RRE Ventures, Canapi Ventures, Greycroft, and others, and we’ve been recognized as one of TIME’s 100 Best Inventions and by Forbes as one of the Top 50 Fintech Companies in the US.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Solutions Architect to lead the strategy and execution of Capitalize’s enterprise API platform. You’ll serve as the bridge between our product, engineering, and revenue teams, and act as the primary technical partner to our enterprise clients, helping them design, build, and launch seamless integrations with Capitalize.
This role combines solution engineering, technical program management, and forward-deployed product strategy.
You’ll work closely with our clients’ product and engineering teams to integrate our APIs into their user experience, from technical design to go-live, and ensure every launch delivers measurable value.
Internally, you’ll collaborate with Product, Engineering, and the Revenue function to shape the evolution of our API platform based on partner feedback.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who loves solving complex problems with clarity, empathy, and technical depth.
What You’ll Do
- Own Partner Integrations: Own the end-to-end partner integration process - from discovery to requirement gathering to go-live management - ensuring a smooth integration process with a high degree of ownership and urgency .
- Be the Technical Face of Capitalize: Serve as the primary contact for client product managers and engineers, guiding them through our sandbox, documentation, and implementation best practices.
- Shape the User Experience: Help partners design optimal user flows for rollovers, translating business objectives into clear technical execution.
- Define Integration Strategy: Capture product feedback and recurring partner requests to inform our roadmap, developer tools, and documentation.
- Collaborate Closely with Engineering: Translate partner needs into clear technical requirements, work side-by-side with engineers on solution design and troubleshooting, and surface insights from integrations to inform API improvements and internal tooling.
- Enable Business Growth: Work closely with Sales and Partnership teams during deal cycles to scope integration needs and position our APIs as a key differentiator.
- Ensure Quality & Compliance: Drive adherence to security, compliance, and operational standards across all integrations.
- Drive Efficiency and Scale: Develop internal playbooks, integration templates, and scalable processes to reduce friction and improve time to launch.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years in technical integrations or API product ownership roles (fintech or SaaS experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of APIs, data flows, and system integrations.
- Strong client-facing experience, comfortable working directly with senior PMs and engineers at enterprise clients, balancing technical credibility with business acumen.
- Comfortable providing demos to both business and technical stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders and articulate product vision to technical audiences. You can simplify complex technical concepts and align diverse stakeholders.
- Strong project management discipline with experience leading multiple complex projects in fast-paced environments.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and driving clarity in cross-functional, high-growth settings.
- A product-first mindset—always thinking about scalability, reusability, and the long-term value of integrations.
