The Role
BuzzFeed is looking for an in-office Post Production Coordinator to join our Los Angeles team in a project-based capacity. BuzzFeed’s Cocoa Butter Channel celebrates Black culture through entertaining, relatable content. We’re looking for someone who has the ability to coordinate multiple projects at once, provide technical edit support and has a strong interest in the content, including our hit YouTube shows, "Taste Wars" and "Food Swap."
You Will
- Report to the Post Production Supervisor
- Act as a proactive problem solver, addressing challenges swiftly
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in all aspects of post production
- Show genuine interest and engagement with the content being produced
- Maintain and organize the post production schedule, ensuring deadlines are met
- Interview and hire talented professionals to fulfill editing needs
- Provide technical support for video editing tools and processes
- Oversee the post production slate, collaborating effectively across different teams
- Communicate clearly with all stakeholders to ensure smooth post production processes
- Manage and update post production documentation and resources
- Coordinate with creative leads, producers, and editors to align on project goals
- Review and Quality Control deliverables, managing stakeholder expectations as needed for dailies, proxies, etc.
- Ingest and prep media for edits
- Complete and track administrative and accounting paperwor
You Have
- At least 3-4 years experience working in film, tv, or digital production
- Ability to work from the Los Angeles Office 5 days a week
- Flexibility to adapt with changing timelines and deliverables
- Working knowledge of Post Production and Production process and equipment
- Proficient in Project Management tools, Google Sheets, Airtable, etc.
- Familiarity with codecs, image types, resolutions, frame rates as they pertain to digital media trends
- Experience with Mac OS and Adobe Creative Cloud apps including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder and After Effects, experience with DaVinci Resolve is a plus!
- Willingness to learn and evolve within a team environment
- Emphasis on organization and attention to detail
- Open to working evenings, nights, and weekends when necessary
