Job Summary

The Bread Financial Remittance Payment Processing operation provides a completely integrated solution which includes the collection of mail from a postal facility, high-speed extraction, image and data capture, deposit, and A/R file and report generation. Our processing facility is strategically located to reduce mail float and is equipped with extraction and capture equipment, processing software, and data recognition engines. We offer ARC and ICL as well as full image of full-page documents and envelopes. Our facility utilizes Wausau Financial System’s ImageRPS platform to capture, control and deposit millions of payments monthly. We also collaborate with other prominent vendors including OPEX and Symco to deliver the highest quality of payment processing.

The Senior Payment Processor is responsible to processes payments on an OPEX 150 Extractor Machine, OPEX Eagle, OPEX RED 50 (Rapid Extraction Desk), iTrans and enters data entry into an Image Display Terminal. The Senior Payment Processor rotates as needed between various areas of the operation to perform additional tasks such as Account Look Up (research a database to locate the correct account number) and support other areas of the operation as needed.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions

Mail Processing- Prepare conforming, non-conforming payments and exception mail for processing. Processes high volumes of conforming mail by operating high speed automated mail opening equipment (OPEX 150 or OPEX Eagle), processes non-conforming mail on an OPEX RED 50 (Rapid Extraction Desk) and capture non-conforming payments on an NCR I-trans transport. Rotate as needed to various areas of the operation to perform multiple tasks such as, picklist, package desk, foreign, zip strips, Account Look Up (research account numbers to locate a correct account number), entering numeric data on an Image Display Terminal and assist with end of day functions. The job function involves moving between different areas throughout the shift.

Documentation and Technology: Rotation is assigned as needed to multiple areas of the operation during a shift requiring the processor to sit or stand for extended lengths of time.

Communication: Demonstrate outstanding Verbal and Written Communication skills when working with internal and external partners. Establish and meet critical deadlines while prioritize multiple activities and complex activities simultaneously. Demonstrates the ability to work independently, remain organized, and prioritize work in order to work with accuracy and attention to detail.

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and sit for extended lengths of time, ability to lift up to 25 pounds; must meet reasonable productivity expectations

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent experience

Six months or more of Data Entry; Intermediate PC Knowledge and Check Processing operations

Typical Pay Range:

$18.00 - $28.95

Full Pay Range for position:

Washington: $19.10 - $33.15

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.

Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates, both full time and part time, can immediately enroll in Bread Financial’s 401(k) plan.

All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Full-time hourly associates receive two grants of Paid Time Off (“PTO”) in January and July based on their service date and scheduled hours, whereas newly hired full time hourly associates in their first year of employment receive a prorated PTO grant on their 61st day of employment based on the month of hire and scheduled hours. Associates will receive a payout of any unused PTO, up to 40 hours, paid out in the next calendar year. Hourly associates receive 72 hours of Paid Sick Leave per calendar year and pro-rated in the associate’s first year of employment.

Hired associates will be able to elect to purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December.
