About the Role
- We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer (Full Stack IoT) to lead efforts in our mobile fueling delivery technology - we’re a small and fast paced team so you’ll be doing high impact work from day one
- You’ll work across device integrations (smart fuel registers, OBCs), backend services, and mobile app features
- You’ll test and validate our technology in the field, including travelling to customer locations or installation sites as needed - our HQ is in Orange County
- You’ll collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, product managers, and cross functional teams to solve complex technical and business problems
Ideal Skills and Qualifications
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with hardware-integrated production systems
- 3+ years as a tech lead of an engineering team
- Hands-on experience with hardware communication protocols like Wi-Fi, BLE, and serial communication
- Understanding of security best practices for connected devices
- Strong in Typescript and experience with React or React Native
- Love automating test suites to ensure the sweet spot of velocity and quality
- Comfortable monitoring and debugging across the tech stack using modern observability tools
Nice to Haves
- Experience with hardware manufacturing and device provisioning workflows
- Experience with device management and OTA update solutions like Azure IoT Hub, Mender, or Balena
- Experience standing up customer facing support teams

Salary Range: $160,000 - $175,000 plus Booster Equity
